Week 2 – Getting our “swimming” legs…

Congratulations to surviving the first week of afternoon practices, which can be quite the shift to our normal routines. Now, we get to add afternoon practices to probably the busiest/weirdest week of school with school ending on Thursday, just prior to Memorial Day Weekend. That said, we have a slight change to this week’s schedule.

Monday – afternoon practices as usual

Tuesday – afternoon practices as usual

Wednesday – afternoon practices as usual

Thursday – NO PRACTICES

Friday – NO PRACTICES (change due to a majority of coaching staff out of town)

Monday, 5/26 – NO PRACTICES – MEMORIAL DAY

Tuesday, 5/27 – Morning Practices begin – see schedule below:

8:15 – 9:00 - 9/10 age group

9:00-9:45 – 7/8 age group

10:00 – 10:30 – Clinics and Junior Crocs (MTWH)

10:30 – 11:00 – 6&U age group

11:00 – 11:45 – 11/12, 13/14, 15-18 age groups

Clinics Start – We will start clinics on May 27 – Clinics are optional 30 minute sessions with the coaches from 10:00 – 10:30. During that time, swimmers can get individual help with specific strokes, starts and turns. Group size is limited to 1-3 kids per clinic to allow for individualized attention. The signups for clinics will go out later this week.

May 29 – Heads up – Picture Day is at 8:30am. We will do individual pictures at 8:30 and the team picture around 9:30. We are hoping to do a practice meet from 10am-11am. More details to follow in next week’s email.

Meet Signups – For every meet, athletes need to declare whether or not they are swimming in Swimtopia. The meet signup option is OPEN for every single meet this season. Follow this link for directions to declare your athlete’s attendance at a meet - https://ccsccrocs.swimtopia.com/register-for-a-meet. Please do this even if they are not attending the meet because the default will enter them in the meet.

**This first meet is on May 29 and the deadline to sign up for the meet is Monday, May 26 – don’t let this deadline sneak up on you over the Holiday Weekend.

Spirit Wear Reorder – Several of you have approached us about ordering additional spirit wear. We are happy to do so, but it will be on a limited basis. Please see the attached order form – payment directions are included at the end of the order sheet.
