    • Meeting Option 2 will be on Friday, May 14 at 6:45pm for the 9/10 and 11 & up age groups.
    • Meetings will be under the pool pavilion as you enter the pool area.
    • No worries if you can’t make it, we will send out the information and summer calendar after the meetings.

First Practice – what to expect

    • Parent Seating – please see layout for areas parents can sit during practices – this keeps walkways clear for the coaches and swimmers during practices, while allowing parents to still observe. The long side of the pool by the basketball court and the two short sides extending from the basketball court are for swimmers and coaches only. Parents can sit on the side of the pool closest to the splash pad, as well as under the covered patio at the pool entrance and at the clubhouse. They can also sit in the area closest to the splash pad.
    • Parent on Deck – we will have a veteran swim team parent at each of our practices this season – they will be posted at the entrance of the pool and will have on a LIME GREEN LANYARD with a name tag on it and they will be wearing a Crocs shirt– if you have any questions about swim team, upcoming meets, practices, they will be happy to help you out.
    • Non-Resident passes – each season, non-resident families get bright green passes to enter the neighborhood for swim team events – please only enter through the Front Gate from Hwy 9. The parent on Deck will have those passes to hand out. You are welcome to take 2 passes.
    • Spirit Wear – Spirit Wear has arrived and will be available for pickup as you enter the pool – the Parent on Deck will be available to distribute spirit wear.

Splash pad – due to safety concerns, the splash pad is closed to everyone during swim team events, including all practices and swim meets.

    Rain/Weather Concerns

    • Weather conditions change at the drop of a hat here in Georgia, so that might mean last minute cancellations or changes to a practice session.
    • oChanges – we might still hold practice, but use it for dry-land exercises – in that case comfortable clothes and tennis shoes will be needed.
    • oCancellations – we will strive to keep practices going unless the weather conditions are saying otherwise.
    • Make sure you have joined Remind (directions below) – we will use this method to communicate changes/cancellations to practice due to weather concerns.
    • We will do our best to make sure that practice cancellations are sent out 30 minutes prior to a practice session.

    Remind

We use this platform during the season to send out notifications on cancelled practices, changes in swim meet times, reminders to sign up for swim meets…. etc. It is imperative that at least one person in the family is registered for the Remind system.

    • You can either join via text message or download the App
    • To join – text @ccsccrocs to 81010
