Hi Parents,

Well, we are almost more than half way through the season. We have our first away meet this Thursday, June 15. Below are some last minute reminders/ details for the swim meet.

Swim Meet #3 Details

The swim meet is at Milton Community Pool (1785 Dinsmore Road, Milton, GA 30004). Warmups for the visiting team are at 4:55pm. Arrive and check-in with the coaches no later than 4:30pm. PARKING – Parking at the pool is limited, so carpooling with other families is strongly encouraged. Milton City Police will be on site to direct overflow parking. There will be concessions to purchase food during the meet. Our bullpen area will be in the parking lot of the Milton Pool. There is not a lot of empty deck space and seating at the pool is limited.

*Signup for the meet – signups for this meet close at 11:30pm tonight. If you intend for your swimmer to participate in the meet, sign them up NOW – go to https://ccsccrocs.swimtopia.com/swim_meets and click on the June 15 Meet Signup button.

County Swim Meet – June 30, 4:00-8:00pm at Georgia Tech Aquatic Center – This is a fun way to conclude our season and let your swimmer experience competition at an Olympic Pool and see their names on the big screen. We have a big group go each year, so it is a fun team event to participate in to round out the end of the season!

*Cost - $45.00 per swimmer – payments can be made via check to Crooked Creek Swim Club, Zelle or Cash – email [email protected] for specific directions on payments.

*Parking – Prepaid $11 – details to come later

*Signups due to the coaches/Mrs. Beard via EMAIL no later than June 23 at 10am (coaches have to turn in their entries on June 23).

*COAST – After the summer swim season has concluded, your swimmer can continue with the COAST team in Alpharetta to compete with at the GRPA State Meet in Columbus on July 14 and 15. The County Swim meet on June 30 is the only qualifying meet for your swimmer to be able to participate in the State Meet. Questions – send them my way and I’ll be happy to help answer them.

*To sign up for the COUNTY SWIM MEET, respond back to this email with the name of the swimmer and what individual events (2) they would like to swim for the meet. The coaches have to manually enter the swimmers into the meet – it is a different signup process from typical meets.

Banquet on June 29 at 9am – Signups for the Banquet are open NOW and will close on June 17 at 12pm. If you are planning to attend the banquet, please RSVP by June 17. If you would like to sign up to work at the Banquet, those signups will open up on June 21. If you already reached out to help with the banquet, you will automatically be signed up, so no extra action is needed.

Volunteer Shifts – All volunteers report to Megan Melchiors at the pool entrance no later than 5:00pm – even if you are in the 2^nd shift. shift is Event 1 – 43 and 2^nd shift is Event 44 – 86. Please stay in your shift until you have been replaced if you are working the first shift/half of the meet. Megan and Amy will make sure you replacements will come.

Practices - Please remember that the focus of our coaches during practice is on your swimmers and making sure they are safe and improving on their skills. If you have NOT signed up for REMIND, please do so before the start of the meet – in case of a weather delay, this is how we will communicate with the team. Also, if we need to find a swimmer for an event or we need a last minute volunteer substitution, this is how we will get information out.
