    Meet update - PLEASE READ

Below is important information about our meets. We appreciate your patience as we have been working out the details on this. Things are changing daily so we appreciate everyone's flexibility and understanding.

We also want to thank everyone for responding to the survey! We had almost 100% team participation which is amazing! Based on our survey results and working with our opponents for this season, we are happy to announce that we will be having in person meets! Some things will need to change but we are so thrilled to have the team back together and be able to have meets at all! Hopefully the weather will continue to improve too (kudos to all those kiddos that got in the cold water last week!)

Here are some important details you need to know about how meets will work this season.

    1) We will not have bullpens this year. Swimmers will sit with their families in the Crooked Creek designated area. For our first meet (at Windward) the area allotted to Crooked Creek is by the Funbrella. I've attached a map that Windward has provided to us. We will have a similar designated areas for our home meets and will provide a map for you closer to the meet date.

    2) Parents will not be allowed to set up chairs around the pool and on the pool deck except in the designated areas.  Again, this is the area by the Funbrella for our first meet at Windward. When it is time for your child to race you are welcome to go stand around the pool to watch but we ask that you return to your designated area with your child after their race so that others have the opportunity to watch their children. We realize some may want to watch friends and that will be fine but please be courteous to others and allow for safe distancing.

    3) Only one heat of swimmers will be lined up behind the blocks at a time. It will be important for you to keep track of your child's event's and bring them to the age group event manager no later than 4 heats prior to their scheduled event. We will have a designated spot at each meet for you to find the age group event managers. For Windward this will be in front of the Funbrella (on the side closest to the lap pool).

    4) Masks will not be required in designated family areas or while you are watching your children swim however, those volunteering as timers and deck managers will be required to wear masks. If you are not comfortable wearing a mask, please be mindful of that when choosing your volunteer job.

    5) Plan to volunteer. We have a very small team this year and it takes many hands to successfully run a meet so plan to help in some capacity.  Information regarding volunteering and how to sign up will be coming in a separate email later tonight.

Meet #1 Sign up is NOW OPEN! EVERY swimmer must declare intent by Monday 5/24 at NOON

The meet will take place at Windward on Thursday 5/27. Swimmers should report at 4pm and check in with their coaches immediately. They may then set up in the designated Crooked Creek area with their family. Morning practices will begin that day too. Please check the website for practice times. During practice on Thursday swimmers will be given their events. If you are unable to make practice, your coaches will give you your swimmer his/her events when you check in at Windward. Warm up will be 4:30-5:00pm and the meet will start at 5:30pm.

How to declare your intent for a Meet

To accurately track which swimmers will be available for meets, parents are required to log-in online and indicate whether or not your child will be attending each upcoming meet under the Meet Signup. If your swimmer will NOT be at the Meet, it is very important to note "Will not be attending this meet" as that helps us know who has not signed up that is still attending vs. those not attending.

    • Log In to the Website at www.ccsccrocs.swimtopia.com. Log-In is found in the upper right hand corner.
    • Sign on to your account. If you can’t remember your password, click "Forgot your password" to reset your password.
    • Under the Calendar of Events tab, find the meet and select "Meet Entry" to sign-up for a swim meet.
    • Click the green MEET ENTRY tab, and then click the green Edit tab under your swimmers' names.
    • For each of your swimmers, select an option from the drop down next to their names: either Attending or Not Attending
    • Select the three events that you and your swimmer would like to request. Note: the Head Coaches may edit these entries at their discretion. (a copy of the event list is attached here for your reference)
    • Click Save to record your choices.
    • You will also be prompted to help fill open volunteer assignments. Please sign up to help if you are able. Each family is required to work 4 shifts during the season unless specifically exempted by the board (i.e. committee chairs, sponsors, 15-18 parents, etc.). A shift is equivalent to a half meet.

If you have questions for the coaches, please email them at [email protected]. Any other questions can be directed to [email protected]
